Christmas gifts for kids

The best gifts for kids get played with long after the wrapping paper is gone. These lean toward things they build, imagine with and come back to: wooden toys, hands-on kits and screen-free fun.

How this guide is chosen

How to choose a Christmas gift for a child

Match the gift to the age on the product page, then to the child's favorite way to play. Pretend play suits toddlers and preschoolers, building and puzzles suit early school age, and kits and projects suit older kids.

Toys that can be played with in more than one way tend to stay in rotation long after Christmas. Larger gifts ship in their own box, so plan for them to arrive separately from the rest of an order.

Christmas Gifts for Kids: common questions

What are the best Christmas gifts for kids?

Toys that invite hands-on play last the longest: building sets, pretend play, art supplies and puzzles. Check the recommended age on each product page before you order.

How do I pick a toy for the right age?

Start with the age range on the product page, then think about what the child already loves. Younger kids enjoy pretend play and simple building; older kids like kits and projects.

Where do you ship?

We ship to addresses in the United States. Gifts ship directly to you, and you'll see the shipping cost at checkout before you pay.

Can I return a gift?

Yes. You have 30 days after delivery, and anything delivered between November 1 and December 24 can come back until January 15. If you just changed your mind, you cover return shipping. If it arrives damaged or wrong, returning it is free.

Can I track my order?

Yes. We email tracking as soon as each item ships. If your order has several items, they can show up in separate packages, each with its own tracking.
